Alma Taawo

Alma Taawo is a coordinator for Länkskafferiet - The Swedish Link Library - a national referatory for Swedish schools (K-12) with links to 4,500 learning resources in all disciplines, from Sweden and other countries, which can be accessed free of charge. Her work involves the operation and further development of the service in all respects.
For six years Alma worked at The Swedish National Agency for Education and at The Swedish National Agency for School Improvement as Librarian/Information Specialist, where she was specifically responsible for issues related to metadata in digital archives, as well as the coordination of Länkskafferiet. She has also been involved in three European Projects in the field of digital search services for schools: Melt and eQnet and EdReNe.
Between 1995 and 2011 Länkskafferiet was run by The Swedish National Agency for Education and at The Swedish National Agency for School Improvement, but today the service is run by Umeå University, Department of Applied Educational Science. Alma is still the coordinator of the service, but now works as a freelancer/consultant in her own company, focusing on digital learning resources, digital archives, metadata and tagging.
