Mark Higham

Mark Higham (48) is a cultural educator who has led a range of education and arts charities. As Chief Executive of FILMCLUB from 2007 until September 2013 he oversaw growth of the programme from 25 schools to 7,000 schools. He has experience that spans music, film, education, sport, commerce, theatre, comedy, art and photography. He was previously Managing Director of Creative Partnerships a €47m a year cultural education programme that brought artists and arts organisations into schools to work with teachers and young people to stimulate their creativity. He has also managed hundreds of major events including 50 live broadcasts working with BBC1, BBC2, BBC4, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, MTV, BBC Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and Virgin Radio to audiences of more than 45 million people. He is Director of Dream Associates providing strategic advice and leadership to the arts, education and charity sectors and is a consultant to Film Nation UK (that operates the FILMCLUB programme) where he is working on European partnerships as well as other projects.
