Sofia Padelopoulou

Sofia Padelopoulou holds a Bachelor in Communication and Mass Media Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in International Law and Diplomatic Studies from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. In the period 2007-2009, she worked at the Press Office of the European Parliament Office in Greece, where she was involved in the organization of events, seminars and overall information activities of the Office. In the period 2010-2011, she worked at the European and National Funding Office of the Municipality of Amaroussion. In February 2012, Ms. Padelopoulou joined the team of Safer Internet Hellas, in the framework of the Greek Safer Internet Awareness Campaign ‘Saferinternet.gr’*, as Communications Officer. In her work, Ms. Padelopoulou has been supporting a variety of awareness activities regarding the proper use of online technologies towards minors, educators, parents, wider public and the media, with culminating event the Safer Internet Day. Since 2013, she has been the youth moderator of the campaign’s Youth Panel. She was also national responsible for the “Best Content for Kids European Award”, in 2013 (http://www.bestcontentaward.eu/). Ms. Padelopoulou has in various occasions represented the Greek Awareness Centre in international conferences and events addressing online safety.
