Dschola

Dschola is a regional project (set up in Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta, Italy) aimed at stimulating greater attention to ICT, by involving students, teachers and families in partnership with schools. It is based on accelerating and supporting developments that are already taking place within the New Economy. The Dschola school network consists in 27 excellence technical secondary schools, the so called Centres, reference points for technological issues in their regional area and with proven experience within the ICT area. Fondazione CRT, an Italian Bank Foundation, and Piedmont Region, the regional department of school and education, made the project possible, largely financing it. The no profit association is one of the most important result of the Dschola Project and was founded in October 2004, starting from the existing network of the community of schools, consisting of a selected group of primary and secondary schools, the so-called Centres of Service, Animation and Experimentation (CSAS), with proven technical and didactical excellence at regional level aiming at disseminating their experiences and expertise towards other.
