The MIT Video website aggregates and curates video produced by the Institute's offices, laboratories, centres and administration. This includes feature and editorial videos, event recordings, academic content and more. Each day, the editorial team at MIT Video selects one or more videos to "spotlight" based on the videos' content, production value and timeliness.

Knowmia - video lessons database

Knowmia is a video lessons database. It contains more than 8000 lessons on a wide range of subjects from all sort of sources and with teachers' help to make each lessons properly tagged and easily searchable. Teachers using the tools offered by Knowmia can create lessons for their own class but also contribute these lessons to the greater community. Some teachers use lessons from Knowmia in the classroom while others assign them to students as homework.
MyKnowmia is one of the tools of this database and it is described as the place where students and teachers can see and access their classes and assignment. For students, that's where they go to view and do assignments. For teachers, that's where they go to create, assign and monitor assignments. Most of the home assignment tools will be launched soon and are not available just yet. Home assignments can be personalised and it is possible to monitor students’ progresses.

Flat World Knowledge - free textbooks

Flat World Knowledge is a large college textbook publishing company that allows students to read and share entire textbooks online for free. It develops and publishes peer-reviewed expert-authored college textbooks under a Creative Commons license.
This online library contains a comprehensive selection of books across disciplines including Business & Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Professional and Applied Sciences, and Mathematics. The books are available for free online but can also be made portable and used across many digital devices or printed with a premium option, the All-Access Pass.
Flat World Knowledge offers several other possibilities too:
• teachers can adopt online books to use them in the classroom or can have students get their own printed copy (normally for a fraction of the normal textbook prices)
• books are open and can be reviewed, customised and reshared
• study aid tools such as key term flashcards, practice quizzes and audio guided study aids to help students succeed.

Watch Know Learn - free educational videos

WatchKnowLearn lists free educational videos and provide descriptions and other information about them, as well as the possibility to comment and rate them. The collection presently contains over 35,000 videos divided in over 4,000 categories covering all major educational topics from elementary to secondary schools. The videos are available without any registration or fee to teachers in the classroom, and to students and parents at home.
A search tool is also provided to help find the desired material browsing by subject and age level. Video titles, descriptions, age-level information, and ratings are all edited for usefulness. Virtual classrooms are also being created.
The site invites broad participation of teachers, instructors and educators in order to organize all high-quality educational videos currently available on the Internet in a new kind of wiki guided by teachers.

Kezako, la série documentaire qui répond à vos questions de sciences, est produite dans le cadre de l'action de valorisation de la culture scientifique de l'Université des Sciences en Ligne (Unisciel) et de l'université de Lille1.
L'épisode présenté ici aborde la question "Quel est le point commun entre un ananas, un lapin et la tour de Pise ?" et plus précisément les nombres de Fibonacci, l'angle et le nombre d'or.

Ce clip est une introduction aux nombres de Fibonacci. On montre comment ils sont présents dans la nature, et les raisons pour lesquelles on les retrouve si souvent.

Il a été primé au Festival du Film Pédagogique 2012 organisé par l'Université (FFUP )
Le FESTIVAL est piloté par le Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche (MINES).
L’organisation est confiée à un Comité constitué par la MINES et associant des spécialistes de l’audiovisuel, du CERIMES (Centre de ressources et d’information sur les mutimédias pour l’enseignement supérieur) et de l’Université de Lorraine/Videoscop.
