Educational Technology and Mobile Learning is a blog providing users, students, teachers, leaders and managers of educational ICT with articles and tools to better integrate technology into education. Getty Museum Website

The J. Paul Getty Museum is an art museum in California that contains a collection of "Western art from the Middle Ages to the present" as well as art from ancient Greece, Rome and Etruria. The Museum provides its visitors with access to the most innovative research in the visual arts both in its Getty Center and Getty Villa sites and on the Internet.
The website of the museum offers several services useful to teachers and students. Here follow some of them:
• The education section (http://www.getty.edu/education/) offers a range of high-quality educational programs, games and resources for a variety of audiences from adults and college students, to K-12 teachers and their students, families with kids, teens, community groups, and museum educators.
• The art section (http://www.getty.edu/art/) contains videos and description cards for a number of works of art hosted at the Getty Museum and a list of selected resources about Art and Architecture (http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/article_databases/art_architecture.html) and Biographical Information (http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/article_databases/biographical.html)
• The research section (http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/) contains a list of useful search tools to find the writings contained in the Museum’s collection.

Tiching

Tiching is a free Spanish platform dedicated to education. It collects teaching resources and a social network has formed on top of this service. At present collected resources are more than 83000. The website is available in all official languages of Spain and in English. Tiching is aimed at the whole education community: teaching staff, students, families, publishers and anybody related in some way to the world of education.
Two search engines are provided. The internal one gives a number of options to refine researches, including language, skills, level of education, etc. The second search engine can be installed in external WordPress websites and blogs to perform searches in Tiching directly from there.
The social network has been designed for the education community and is formed by more than 25000 people collaborating from all over Spain.
There are many types of digital educational content in Tiching: activities tutorials, projects, teachers guides, etc. They are provided in many different formats such as video, text, image, interactive activity, etc.
Each content file contains:
• Basic information: title, description, image, tags, language, short URL, creator;
• Validation: it’s the internal validation process through which every resource passes when uploaded
• Thanks: it’s a feedback about the usefulness of a resource

aPLaNet Teacher Guide

aPLaNet (Personal Learning Networks for Language Teachers) project is a European Union funded project that aims to help educators to understand benefits of shared knowledge based on social networks, and to learn how to build their own professional personal learning networks using social media.
The Teacher Guide is conceived as a theoretical and practical introduction to the project, providing background to the project and explaining its rationale and goals. It reflects on the terms connected with social media environments, positives and use of the networks, presents educational resources suitable both for teachers development and suggestions for usage within a classroom.
This document acts as a guide for educational institutions, teachers and educators to help them understand:
• What social networks and PLNs exist for language educators
• Why language educators should use them
• How teachers can get involved

The Teacher Guide is intended to be as comprehensive as possible so as to provide a wide range of options for growing as a professional and engaging with educators all over the world. It was developed to facilitate and support teachers´ orientation in the world of social media and ICT-based approaches to teaching/learning.
It also provides highly practical suggestions and hints for teachers. It presents a large number of ICT resources divided for better orientation into several categories. All of them are described both in terms of general characteristics, technical and other requirements, steps to be takes for successful set-up and configuration, navigation and operational rules.

Chemistry: All About You

Çhemistry: All About You - Teach chemistry in a fun and innovative way is a website whereteachers can find chemistry resources to organise activities in the classroom around the video "Chemistry: All About You" developed by the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) in partnership with UNESCO and IUPAC. The objective is to propose tools for an innovative and multi-disciplinary approach of chemistry teaching.
Video, teachers'guidelines, lesson plans, documents and experiment modules are available on the website.

EU-UNAWE Universe Awareness

EU-UNAWE aims to use astronomy as a tool for inspiring and educating young children, and encourage them to develop an interest in science and technology. The programme also aims to introduce children to the idea of global citizenship and tolerance at a crucial stage of their development – to show them that they are part of an international community.
This programme is aimed at children aged 4 to 10 years, especially those from underprivileged communities, but the resources are open to all: on the website, multimedia as well as educational materials and guidelines are available.

Xplore Health

Xplore Health is a European educational portal on cutting-edge health research that offers innovative multimedia and hands-on experiences to young people through the internet, schools and science centres and museums. This project's aims are: to bridge the gap between research and education, to inspire future researchers, to promote scientific literacy and to stimulate dialogue.
On the Xplore Health website, you can find a multimedia gallery with lots of videos, games and experiments and various resources for educators such as classroom activities, educators' guides and experiments protocols.
