Call to participate: YoungPress.eu conference for young European reporters - deadline 15 July 2011
Young European journalists (in-the-making) between 18-26 years old can apply until 15 July 2011 to take part in the YoungPress.eu conference in Antwerpen (Belgium) on 27-29 October 2011.
The main themes of the conference are:
- the omnipresence of ‘instant’ media
- the threat to high-quality (investigative) journalism
- the spread of biased information
- new models and experimentation by independent journalists
Key experts, including Robert Fisk, Sylvie Kauffmann, Annabel McGoldrick, Olaf Koens, Ingrid Lieten, Henk Blanken, Robin Hamman, and many others will shed their light on contemporary media and share their insights, guidance and recommendations with the 100 selected young reporters. The conference will consist of a series of lectures, debates and workshops around the 4 main themes.
