Armin Hottmann is in charge of media education at the Kulturring in Berlin – with the vision that critical media education becomes more part of education. After his media studies in London he has set up the media educational project “Die 23 Muskeltiere” in conjunction with the Open Channel Berlin in 1996. Armin Hottmann coordinates European video projects with links to all school subjects and recently especially the languages with the current EU project “DIVIS”. He is a European teacher trainer, produces teacher training materials, videos and online content. With “viducate” he is promoting video education across Europe – together with Universities, teacher training institutes and ministries of education. He is also involved in the pan-European association “Open Channels for Europe!”.
