Helle Meldgaard

Helle Meldgaard, born 1962, Project Manager at UNI•C, Department for Research and Society. She has an MA (guldmedalje) in History of Religion, University of Aarhus, 1991, supplemented with degrees in ICT and Learning from different universities. After finishing her MA studies in 1991, she has been involved in research programmes and worked as part time educator at University of Aarhus and as documentalist, webmaster, freelance writer and board member in different associations.

She has worked for several years with information and communication technology (ICT) with specific focus on teaching and learning perspectives. She has held several posts of employment in this field. She has worked as ICT-pedagogical Coordinator and information employee at the University of Aarhus, 2001-2003. Since 2003 she has been Project Manager of the project E-learning, which has as its aims to disseminate knowledge about how to use media and e-learning in educational programmes at Danish universities. She has especially gathered a broad experience on how video/"moving images" can act as powerful, innovative and creative elements to enlighten teaching and learning. She has organized, participated and delivered presentations in national and international workshops, seminars and conferences dealing with e-learning, videoconferencing and video. Since 2005 she has been running the Danish media Award “Det gyldne Snit” (The Golden Cut) and since 2007 she has been engaged in MEDEA.
