Stand 2: European Schoolnet

European Schoolnet (EUN) is a network of 30 Ministries of Education in Europe and beyond. EUN was created more than 10 years ago with the aim to bring about innovation in teaching and learning to its key stakeholders: Ministries of Education, schools, teachers and researchers.

European Schoolnet’s activities are divided among three areas of work:

  • Policy, research and innovation
  • Schools services
  • Learning resource exchange and interoperability



Elina Jokisalo, European Schoolnet, Brussels
Elina Jokisalo works as Communications Officer at European Schoolnet, based in Brussels. She works with communication, web editing and project coordination on various projects including iTEC, CPDLab, eQNet, Learning Resource Exchange and Acer-EUN Netbook Pilot. She is also supporting EUN's latest initiative called "Future Classroom Lab" which will be launched in December 2011. Before Brussels, she worked several years at P.A.U. Education (Barcelona, Spain) and was in charge of European Commission's e-learning portal "". In that position she developed editorial, communication and networking activities also for other international online environments and projects including the eLearning Papers publication, the portal, the Learnovation project, and the European eGovernment Awards. She has an academic Master of Arts degree in Information Studies (University of Oulu, Finland).
