Franziska Florack

Franzi is a film literacy PhD student at the University of Bradford. Her work focuses on the use of films in primary school classrooms and their impact on motivation and attainment in Bradford, UNESCO's first City of Film. For her Masters at the University of Cambridge, Franzi researched teacher's use of moving images in the secondary school classroom.

She has worked as a secondary and further education teacher in the past and now lectures on the BA Film and MA Photography at the new Bradford Film School.

Franzi has been involved in a wide range of media and education projects including the chairing of the International Student Film Organization, the foundation of several student film festivals and, most recently, the application for a new Steiner Waldorf Free School in Leeds.
